My wife Janelle and I graduated from High School together in 1997. She played Volleyball, Softball, and was a Cheerleader in High School. She was never a runner but decided to take up running in 2007 for fitness. Over time though she has been becoming more and more competitive. I guess I am rubbing off on her. She is now into running Half-Marathons and loving it. We love sharing our running experiences with each other. Janelle's personal records:
5k - Couch Potatoe 2010 - 28:37
5 mile - Pemberville 5 miler 2008 - 53:16
Half-Marathon (13.1m) - Indianapolis Mini-Marathon 2010 - 2:12:10
My son Trey loves to run as well. He has run several 1 mile races since he was 4 years old. He ran his best 1 miler when he was 6. He is 8 years old and he ran his first 5k at 7. He is into many other sports as well. He also plays Soccer, Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Wrestling. He will have to choose some day but right now he is enjoying them all. Trey's running personal records:
1 mile - Pemberville 2009- 9:52
5k - Fast Feet of Clay 5k 2010 - 29:10
My daughter Mya has run a few 1 mile races when she was 4 and 5 years old but she is the only one right now that does not enjoy running. She may change her mind later but for right now she is a no. Although, she has plenty on her plate to keep her busy. She is 7 years old. Mya's top sport would be Soccer. She plays on the Edge Soccer Club that has been playing year round. She also participates in Gymnastics, Softball, and Brownies. Mya's 1 mile personal record is 12:28.

My favorite story about Trey is by far when his training wheels were smokin' when he was trying to keep up with you running!
